Anne Marie Caulfield - Chairperson
Anne Marie Caulfield is owner and director of the Caulfield McCarthy Group, is a graduate of NUI Galway where she obtained an Arts Degree and subsequently an LLB.
Anne Marie is past President of IBEC South East, past President of Waterford Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Waterford Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee, sits on a number of steering groups and committees for retail initiatives in Waterford City, a member of the Governing Authority of Waterford Institute of Technology and was made an Ambassador for Waterford City in 2011.
Mai Walsh - Secretary
Mai Walsh a retired Senior Business Banking Manager is a graduate of The University of Manchester where she obtained a Masters in Business Administration. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland and held many roles in the Institute including past Chairperson of the South-East Region.
Mai is actively involved in a number of charitable projects in Waterford and South Kilkenny and currently sits on the Board of Waterford Hospice Movement clg, Touching Hearts clg. Mai holds the position of Company Secretary with Viking Triangle Arts clg. She is keenly interested in arts, culture and sports of all kinds.
Ann Power is a Director of Powerhouse PR Ltd.; prior to this she worked in PR and Media relations with a number of agencies.
Ann is a very experienced PR director and has extensive experience of promoting brands and events, creating ready for market brand collateral and driving campaigns. Ann has extensive media contacts across print, broadcast and online media. She also has considerable experience and major successes driving social media campaigns.
Ann has also created and delivered strategies for international and national brands including Diageo, Failte Ireland, Bord Bia, GIY, Enterprise Ireland and The BBC Top Gear Festival to name but a few.
Barbara Drohan is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and has worked in general practice in Waterford for over twenty years. In 2015 Barbara established Drohan & Knox, Chartered Accountants in partnership with Carina Knox.
She brings significant experience to the Theatre Royal having worked on accounts and audits of a wide sector of companies including the charity sector.
Cllr John Cummins
Cllr. John Cummins is the current Deputy Mayor of Waterford City and County Council. He is also a Physical Education and Geography Teacher at St. Paul’s Community College and is an avid theatre lover having worked on many shows in both Waterford and Limerick. He is a board member of the Theatre Royal since his election in 2009 and also sits on the board of Waterford Airport and Splashworld. John served as Mayor of Waterford City Council in 2013-14 and Mayor of the amalgamated Waterford City & County Council in 2015-16.
Cllr Jason Murphy
Cllr Jason Murphy was first elected to Waterford City and County Council in 2014 and has been a member of the board since 2016. He served as Deputy Mayor in 2015 and is also a member of the Southern Assembly and is presently Chair of the Regional Health Forum South. Jason was born and bred in the St Paul's area of the city and is passionate and committed to the promotion of his city and county. He has a keen interest in all aspects of the arts with a special love for drama and classic film. He is committed to working with the members of the board to build on their fantastic work promoting and maintaining the Theatre Royal as the premier entertainment venue for the people of Waterford and the surrounding region. Jason is Dad to two teenage children, his daughter Kerenza and son Brannoc and likes nothing more than spending weekends with them enjoying all this beautiful county has to offer.
Orm is a Solicitor and manager of a family property business. A keen jazz musician, he has a BA in Music and studied jazz improvisation at the Newpark Music Centre, where he was selected to represent Ireland at the International Association of Schools of Jazz event in New York. Orm returned to Waterford in the early 1990s where he co-founded Kenny Shipping and completed a number of business qualifications, culminating in an MBA. Having sold the business to Exel, then one of the top five global logistics companies, Orm managed Exel’s regional office until 2007 when he left to pursue his long-standing interest in law. He trained as a Solicitor with Peter O'Connor & Son and stayed with that firm until leaving private practice in 2017. Orm is Honorary Danish Consul to Waterford and a past President of both Waterford Chamber and Waterford Rotary Club.
