I love the challenge of making a piece of theatre from very little. I have always believed that the best drama comes from truthful acting and that the less there is of distraction and clutter to get in the way of that the better.
In Eden we have two very good actors, three doors, two stools, a cushion, a penknife, some glasses and a few bottles. Go figure, go conjure! We’ve done the sketch of the play now, the scaffolding. And this week we are filling in the detail. I always say I never know what to do with the beginning until I get to the end. I’m with Eliot on that- the end is in the beginning. Thus far a rewarding journey.....
