As the house doors close on the first week and looking forward to the next, I can say that while the Gods may be Angry, the rest of the house is very much the opposite.
All this week I’ve seen happy faces emerge from the show. People were affirmed of their Waterfordity in invoked reminisces of the city from their younger days... and people for whom Waterford is an adopted home it was a great test of their local knowledge.
A great sight was Mary Roche coming to see it, who of course starred in the first production way back when and not forgetting: the famous Miss Kerr herself!
The doors will open again soon, a new audience will file in, the lights will go down and this vision of how we were will help us forget the world outside for a couple of hours.
