CAT (the play)
A dark comedy by Richard Hardwick & Jamie Beamish.
Performed by Richard Hardwick
CAT (The Play) returns to Waterford following its West End Debut at London’s Ambassadors Theatre in 2017 where it played to critical and popular acclaim.
CAT is the story of ‘Dave the Cat’, how he was sacked from the original production of the musical ‘Cats’ on opening night, and how he has never quite recovered. As he stands on stage in his ‘magnificent’ cat costume, he lets us into a world of backstage drama, romance and intrigue, but as his story begins to unfold, his world becomes a much darker place. Featuring original songssupposedly cut from several ALW shows and never before heard on stage (don’t tell Andrew).
