Jo Moylan, known for her involvement in the Theatre Royal has passed away

It is with great sorrow that the team at the Theatre Royal has heard of the passing of Jo Moylan.

Jo’s commitment to the Theatre Royal over many years as committee member and patron was closely linked to its success.  Her time serving on the Friendly Society committee contributed greatly to ensuring the future vibrancy of the theatre.

Jo will also be remembered for her great love of theatre and music as exemplified by her commitment to the Theatre Royal and Waterford’s Musical Societies.  The generous support she gave to companies through her positive critiques on WLRfm with her friend Billy McCarthy encouraged Directors, Actors and Musicians alike to continue in their pursuits.   She will also be remembered by many for her performances on the Theatre Royal stage, with the particular fond memory of her performance as Azuri in The Desert Song.

The board, management and staff of the Theatre Royal wish to express our deepest sympathy to Jo’s daughters and extended family.

May she rest in peace.
