The Lancet Report suggests a doubling in the consumption of foods such as fruits, vegetables, legumes and nuts, and a greater than 50% reduction in global consumption of sugars and red meat by 2050 to meet SDG’s & The Paris Agreement. Is a plant based diet really better for us and the planet? How healthy are some of the meat-alts in reality? Is meat unfairly being blamed for all our ills? What are the implications of a Lancet world view for Irish food production and can we adapt? Could this be a moment in the sun for Irish horticulture? Join experts as we discuss in the setting of the theatre auditorium.
