October at the Theatre Royal

October in Theatre Royal starts very exciting with two fabulous tribute bands: Trevor Smith & Friends in Low Places present the Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience. Simon & Garfunkel through the Years are back by popular demand and give you a glimpse behind the scenes of the greatest ever folk-rock duo.

We make sure you have a good laugh and a good cry this month with three great plays coming in: Cat, about a cat as the greatest musical star that never got to shine, Fred & Alice, a quirky love story about two amazing mischievous characters, and Fruitcake, a cookery demonstration full of memories and wisdom with Mary McEvoy. If you are up for some real giggles don’t miss our brilliant Comedy: Further Ted and Eric Lalor & Special Guest Karl Spain.

You can never have enough music in your life; make sure you get enough for October: There is Christine Bovill’s PIAF with a theatrical homage to one of France’s most endearing icons, Michael English, one of Ireland’s top country music stars and The Fureys with their timeless classics. Aonghus McAnally presents you The Music of Christie Hennessy and Vlad & Anton are back with their mastery of the classical violin.

As part of the Imagine Festival, Theatre Royal is hosting a very exciting Subtitle European Film Day and presents four brilliant pieces of filmmaking from Germany, England, Finland and Russia.

The October ends as brilliant as it started with South Eastern Theatre Group’s most ambitious musical project ever: Starlight Express!
